PMMVY or Pradhan Mantri Martu Vandana Yojana or Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana is a best scheme by Prime Minister of INDIA(Narendra Modi) Government for pregnant women and lactating mothers. Under the PMMVY pregnancy aid scheme, the central government is providing a small financial assistance of ₹6000 to the pregnant women and lactating mothers for the first live birth of child.
Objectives:
Providing partial compensation for the wage loss in terms of cash incentive s so that the woman can take adequate res t before and after delivery of the first living child. The cash incentive provided would lead to improved health seeking behaviour amongst the Pregnant Women and Lactating Mothers (PW& LM).Registration Process:
The registration of PMMVY for claiming ₹6000 pregnancy aid can be done through the Anganwadi Centers (AWC) or the nearest approved health facility center. The application form for registration under Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana can be provided directly from the Anganwadi Centers or the approved health facility without any fees/cost. This PMMVY pregnancy aid scheme application forms can also be downloaded from the official website of Ministry of Women and Child Development but it would be better if you can reach to nearest Anganwadi Centers (AWC) or the nearest approved health facility center and follow the process.The application form must be submitted at the same Anganwadi center or the health facility for the claim of pregnancy aid amount of ₹6000. The pregnant women and lactating mothers who have their pregnancy on or after 1 January 2017 are eligible to apply for Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana/Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana.
The submission of PMMVY application forms will be facilitated by the AWC (Anganwadi Center), ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activist) and ANM (Auxiliary Nurse & Midwife).
All the application forms are to be submitted along with all the required documents such as Aadhar card of beneficiary along with of her husband with written consents, Aadhar seeded bank account details of beneficiary and Mobile Number of her/husband/family member’s.
