When Kano was introduced a year ago and left us with no doubts both about its feasibility (raised the necessary funds quickly) if not how would behave once reached the market. After all these months Kano is a reality that all who are interested can buy.
Conditions have changed slightly. The device and accessories and peripherals including hold, with Raspberry Pi model B as the main protagonist of the whole, a wireless keyboard with integrated track-pad and a small speaker. Kano is still an excellent kit 'show' to have a team desktop anywhere, easy installation and simple configuration and tuning.
The big difference is in the price. The $ 119 that were used to attract investors in Kickstarter have fallen somewhat short and Kano can now be purchased for 149.99 euros in Europe, a figure slightly higher than that though, I must say, it seems unfair.
While we ultimately find a slightly more expensive than expected toy, Kano remains a great choice for beginners in the world of computing, including programming, thanks to his skills and also Kano OS based on a Linux-like operating system with everything you need for first steps. What how it works? You can keep an eye on this analysis on Linux User where test and draw conclusions from their experience.
