Sending messages is one of the oldest functions of Facebook. This feature allows you to send a private message to another member of the community, much like an email. However, what many people do not realize is that they can send text messages to users who have associated their cell phone numbers to your account.
You can send text messages through Facebook by following a few steps.
Instructions :
- Login to your Facebook account
- Click the button on right side next to the chat windows setting, there select "New message".
- Write the name of the person you would like to send a message in the field that begins with "To" and enter your message in the field that starts with "Message".
- Check the box near the small icon of a cell in the lower right corner of the "New Message" window. By checking this box you'll be sending the message that you have written to the recipient cell.
- Click the "Send" button to send Facebook message and text message.
