Apple has used the sapphire in some occasions in the past, such as to protect the iPhone's camera and protect your Touch sensor embedded ID on iPhone 5S. According to some rumors, it appears that Apple has bigger plans for this year sapphire is said that the iPhone 6 screen will be covered (and therefore protected) for this item.
Apparently the Cupertino company has already started sending sapphire suppliers , who are responsible for mass manufacture parts smartphone . Foxconn is one of the companies that have already received the item and is starting to work with it.
Stephen Chin of UBS Securities says the maker of the signature Arizona GT Advanced Technologies began production in March sapphire. The first shipment to China sapphire was recently conducted and larger amounts expected to be sent shortly.
The CEO of Apple , Tim Cook, has said that the sapphire will be used in a "secret project", which is obviously not revealed details, because if that happened they would cease to be "secret". Some say that the sapphire screens also marked presence in the future iWatch , which is entirely possible, although many rumors say the iWatch have a flexible screen, and so far has no such sapphire properties.
